count is the number of threads per inch of bed sheet. The higher the thread
count, the more comfortable and durable the sheets will be. Don’t settle for
less than a thread count of 200 and for complete luxury you can purchase bed
sheets with a thread count as high as 1000.
The
fabric is the next most important item when shopping for bed sheets. Most sheets
are combination of synthetic/polyester and cotton. Cotton sheets provide the
best breathability and absorb moisture, which keep the body warmer. For truly
luxurious sleeping, Egyptian cotton sheets are considered to be the best.
If
you are looking for something even cosier, try flannel sheets. And whether you
consider silk sheets and satin sheets to be cozy or just down-right sensuous,
they are worth a try as well.
