is the case with most bedding, blankets are available in both synthetics and
natural fibres.
Synthetic
blankets are available in a variety of different fibres and threads. Some are
made for durability and warmth, while other blankets are made for convenience
and affordability.

popular synthetic make is the fleece blanket. It tends to be less expensive, is
hypoallergenic and provides good warmth for a relatively thin and light blanket.

As the
name implies, mink blankets are made from natural fibres. However, when most
people refer to a mink blanket they are actually referring to an acrylic blanket
that has the same soft luxurious texture as mink.
Natural
fibre makes, such as cotton and wool blankets provide greater breathability and
absorb moisture, making it easier to keep warm. Wool is the warmer of the two,
and both are very durable. Give special attention to the weave regardless of
whether it is a cotton blanket, wool blanket or synthetic. A tighter weave
